As I said in my intro, my students come to school everyday excited to learn. With so much time spent in the classroom, they need the opportunity to get their wiggles out! I have done much research this summer about flexible seating in classrooms, and it is proven to increase engagement and overall academic success. My students deserve the opportunity to make the decision of where to sit knowing it's effect on their learning. I have also asked for whiteboards and markers that will my students to show what they know! Whiteboards in the classroom allow students to show evidence of what they know, and work collaboratively with their peers to solve problems.
