The Coronavirus pandemic has changed schooling in our country. Students are now learning remotely and teachers are teaching remotely. Unfortunately, many students do not have all of the things they need to learn at home. While my school was able to loan students, devices for online learning, many students do not have the means to buy basic school supplies and do not already have these supplies at home. My first remote assignment for students was a poll to see how they were doing at home and to ask what they needed at home to complete art assignments. So far, about half of the students responded and of those students, about half do not have any art supplies at home, not even the basics, like pencils and paper. I have already purchased some supplies, but it's not nearly enough and they will have to be shared among family members. I would like to be able to give each individual student a pack of markers, a pack of colored pencils, regular pencils, a sharpener and drawing paper to complete assignments.
