These hands on materials will engage students and inspire them to learn independently as we study our World! History is important because as the old saying goes," Those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it." I create independent learning centers for each civilization I teach. My students don't get to listen to me talk all day. No sit and get! They have to be active learners who engage with the text and learning resources in a variety of ways. The resources I requested will make the learning centers, cultural experiences, not busywork! I've used learning centers in the past and I've observed students enjoying directing their own learning. They retain it longer and its more meaningful for them. Your gift will help me keep opening young minds to the past and preparing them for the future.
