Students need to be comfortable and to be able to move. I would like to use the flexible seating in my center rotations to give the students a chance to get out of their seats and desks in order to be comfortable and get some movement in while they are working. Can you imagine sitting at a desk and hard chair 8+ hours in a day? Now, imagine being a 7 and 8 year old doing this. Now imagine a student with ADHD, ADD, who have an IEP, who is ESE. These are the students who will most benefit from flexible seating and I have a class full of these types of kids. These kids deserve anything that will help them in doing their best in their academics.
