Math can be a difficult class for many students, especially when they are not organized. Having binders and paper for each student. allows them to have one place to keep their materials organized. My hope is that students will build habits to become organized, beyond just the mathematics classroom. A binder, just like a calculator, has the ability to keep multiple ideas and concepts in one organized place. Homework was either turned in messy or had been lost somewhere along the way. With a binder and paper for each student, they will be able to keep their homework and notes flat and organized by unit. My hope is that these binders will create habits of organization that extend beyond the classroom. Organization is a key characteristic for successful students!
