I've had Scholastic News magazine subscriptions in the past. Using these magazines is my favorite way to keep my students updated on current events, science topics, and health topics. These magazines are engaging for kids, have memorable facts, and useful videos. We enjoy using the app on our iPads that comes along with subscriptions of these magazines as well. Students thrive when they are given choices. I've noticed with implementing flexible seating, my students are able to pick what we call a "smart seat." They choose a working spot where they will be able to focus and work their best. I'm continuing to add more and more of these options in my classroom. Even when I work at home, I choose a different spot each time I want to work. I think kids need these same options to work best as well! The games I included in this project will help with my students reading, math, and vocabulary skills. Some of the games will get them up, moving, and talking. Some of the games will get them thinking deeper. I am excited for what this project will do for my students and our classroom learning environment!
