My students need a sand and water table to help their development of both gross and fine motor skills. Many of my students start kindergarten with no preschool experiences. This will be a fun way to strengthen the muscles in their hands. Skills like digging, pouring, scooping, and measuring will help with their handwriting skills. Also, it will offer many other academic experiences as well. Math, science, and language skills can all be addressed with a sand and water table! My kids will learn so much and not even realize they are doing it because they are playing, talking, and having fun!
