My students will have the opportunity to read more Spanish books to help them become biliterate. Students will be able to make connections from prior knowledge in the new Spanish books, which will improve their reading comprehension. Students can continue to develop their passion for reading in another language. While reading the new Spanish collection, students will improve their writing, intercultural competence,cognitive development, and literacy enjoyment. My end goal is to help my students build stamina to increase Spanish comprehension, fluency, and build higher vocabulary; to increase bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural. I want my students to have the choice to read in the language they want, not the language they have access to.
