I teach in a small, rural village. The village's population is just over 700 people. The town's population is about 2,700. The estimated per capita income is $25,500. I live across the parking lot from my elementary school. All of my four children are district students. My school has one section of each grade, kindergarten through fifth. We have the special opportunity of really knowing all of our students and their families, which I love. This year I have 20 students in my class.
