The new collection of books that I am requesting cover multiple reading levels. This will give my students access to information at their reading level, which will make their experiences more meaningful and independent. 2nd graders are gaining even more independence and ownership in their learning through researching topics throughout the year, such as animals from different habitats we are discovering in science, and important world changers that are highlighted in social studies. The other classroom supplies requested will also be very beneficial to the needs of our room. We use dry erase markers every day while working in phonics and math, and are often in need of more markers. We also complete many activities on apps via Chromebooks, the headphones would help students interact with the activities and books that they need to listen to.
