A multi sensory room has many benefits. When a student is able use a sensory room, they will be able to reduce their stress level and increase their ability to focus by promoting a feeling of calm and happiness. For example, the LED Bubble Tube will not only help clam them but it will also help increase their ability to track moving objects. The students will noticed the bight colors and then begin to track the bubbles moving in the tube. Once a student understands cause and effect and how to track objects they can possible use eye gaze as a form of communication. By creating a sensory room my students will have a safe place they can explore the environment around them. Since the room will have a things like a foam mat and beanbag chairs the room can also be used for another room they can get out of their wheelchairs, crawl around and or use their physical therapy equipment.
