Each year, many of us plan trips and adventures near and far. Whether it is taking a drive to a local camping ground, or flying to our favorite vacation spot, we have somewhere to go and make memories with our family and friends. However, most of the students that will enter my classroom this year have never left the county in which they live. My dream is to be able to provide a classroom library full of books, in a variety of levels, that will allow my students to go adventures and explore lands far and wide, all from the comfort of our classroom! The items I've selected include a variety of books, in various levels, to ensure that my students have a wide selection to choose from when they visit our classroom library. I chose a variety of genres, which include high interest fiction, picture books, and nonfiction selections to coincide with our other subject areas. The books will be used during independent reading time, as well as guided reading and book clubs. Once students complete their book, they will be able to write a book review and post in it our classroom library. Students will have access to the reviews and will be able to have discussions with each other about the books they read. This classroom library will allow students to explore their interests and increase their confidence in their reading ability. With your generous donation, you will be able to provide students with dreams, experiences, and adventures, all from the comfort of our classroom!
