This project will allow my students to explore their education and learning in a fun and exciting way. The will learn basic coding skills using technology to enhance their learning. The coding caterpillar will allow my students to challenge themselves and not only use coding skills but also learn how to problem solve and make corrections to their code in order for the caterpillar to reach its correct destination. The Osmo device will allow for hands on experience. The four games that come with the Osmo: Numbers, Words, Tanagrams, and Coding allows for the students to interact with the games while manipulating real-world pieces. The Tiggly Learner Kit comes with Tiggly Word, Tiggly Shapes, and Tiggly Math smart toys that students use to interactive with the IPad Tiggly apps. The students use the manipulatives and place directly on the IPad to help build on their phonics, reading, writing, number line, addition and subtraction, shapes, colors and so many more skils. Learning through technology and coding skills can make their educational experience so much fun and benefit them throughout the rest of their education as well as their future as they continue to be our future! Technology and coding is becoming more and more a part of our world. If we are able to start our students off at a young age with hands-on technology then we are preparing them for the future. I believe that these materials will allow for the students to learn the basic coding skills that they need to be successful. These materials will also allow for the students to have fun learning and become creative in their thinking!
