Flexible seating will allow my students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Each day, students will get the opportunity to choose a seat they feel they can do their best in. My current plan for flexible seating is: lowered table with kneeling pads and wobble cushions, raised desks with bouncy bands, desks with balance balls, peanut seats, and lap desks at the carpet. I have discovered that my students are focused and eager to learn when comfortable. By using flexible seating, the students will be able to make smart choices in where they sit. If they do not work well in one area, they will learn to problem solve and select another. The products that I have selected for this project will help to get my students engaged in their learning. I have seen flexible seating positively affect students learning and I am so excited to see what it will do with my upcoming class.
