My students are in the federal setting 3 autism classroom. Some students have limited speech and have disabilities in communication and using language. Instruction for these students traditionally focuses on words recognition, functional work and living skills. However, we need to provide them a more full and comprehensive literacy learning experience because ALL students should have access to the general education curriculum. My classroom projects will mostly focuses on curriculum, learning materials, assistive technologies that support functional communication, social skills, and academics development for my students.
