The students in my class demonstrate an excitement for learning which is why I absolutely love teaching first grade. My goal as a teacher is to provide students with the foundational skills that will help them be successful academically and socially. Our learning takes place in different forms but students, hands down, agree that learning that takes place at the carpet is the best which is why I am reaching out for help to make carpet time a continued favorite. As a new teacher, I am slowly building my dream classroom where I envision students coming to school eager to learn because their teacher is just as excited about learning. This first year was tough but I made the most with the resources available and I will continue to develop my practice, embed a love for learning in my students, and dream classroom (with your help ).
