These materials will provide new reading materials to my students during my guided reading groups. My students need books that they want to read and will enjoy reading over and over again to myself as well as their parents. The students need more exposure to non-fiction resources as well. I will achieve this by using non-fiction guided readers. I will also do this through the Scholastic News subscription. I would like to be able to use these weekly so the students grow to learn from and love to read non-fiction as well as fiction. My students enjoy guided reading already and I want to keep my student engaged the entire year through guided reading.
