There are high demands and expectations placed on our students today. My goal for my students is to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment that allows them to choose where they will learn best. I began implementing flexible seating in my classroom last year and saw amazing results in my students' learning and behavior. Not only were my students more engaged in their learning, but they were able to collaborate with peers and use materials in our classroom more efficiently. Last year, I was able to purchase exercise balls, rocker chairs, crate seating, stools, cushions, bean bags, and adjustable office chairs for my classroom. This summer, I added to this by buying individual carpets, a small rug for meeting, and lap desks. Any help that you are able to provide to help support my students in a flexible and comfortable learning environment would so greatly be appreciated!
