My students need math manipulatives to explore with at center time during math and headphones to use across all subjects. My students will use these materials to explore their ability through building, counting, making change, fact memorization. These activities will be used during math center times where students will rotate through different math activities working to master math concepts. They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group and small group time. Students will get to use the headphones multiple times during the day; including reading/listening to books, math time, science and social studies to support their learning. Your generous donation to my project will help improve my fourth grade classroom by building stronger mathematicians and support their learning across all subjects with the use of headphones. In Walnut Grove, our classroom has a small set of computers. This meaning that multiple activities will be going on at one time. The use of headphones will make a huge difference by allowing students to focus on their computer and not get distracted by outside noise. Our headphones will be used during reading, and math mainly to allow me to accommodate the wide range of reading and math comprehension that exist in the classroom.
