These materials will help my middle school special education students take more control of their education by choosing their own seating options in the classroom. These include several opportunities for them to move kinetically while still learning. There are also options that will improve their physical accessibility, so they can focus better on the instruction instead of behavioral and social issues. I am especially excited about the options that will encourage movement for my students. The seat pedals and the bouncy straps will help my most kinetic learners. Since I taught many of these students last year, I am familiar with their learning styles. The students will be able to get excess energy out while learning, which may be able to greatly improve their focus.
