Flexible seating will allow much needed movement throughout the day. There will be several different types of flexible seating, including, regular chairs, cushions for a floor option, and stools, giving children a choice in the type of space they want to be in. During table time, students will choose which kind of seat will best meet their need. The brain seeks novelty, and flexible seating is on target for being a novel idea in classrooms. All learners can benefit from flexible seating. Whether the child feels that they need minimal movement or lots of movement, all needs are met with flexible seating.
