My school is very small and pulls from a wide range of communities. Most of my students cannot afford the basic supplies and tools needed to succeed in the classroom. Most of the school in general is on free or reduced lunch. All students coming in to the class will be partaking in interactive science notebooks; creating a product they can be proud of when taking it home at the end of the year and referencing it for years to come. With the materials they will have the basic tools needed to accomplish every day tasks and assignments that they may not have had otherwise. Colored pencils, glue, scissors and other materials will give them the opportunity to be creative whether they are gluing in their independent practice for the day or coloring the parts of the brain. Being a first year teacher, I do not have a lot of the essentials it takes to bring these Interactive Science notebooks to life. Your donation will help us go from boring notebooks to notebooks they'll be able to use for the rest of their high school career!
