The Time for Kids magazines will be used throughout the week as an additional reading resource. The students will be able to work through differentiated activities that allow them to learn on their levels. The high interest materials will also be more exciting for the students to work with. By providing my students with the weekly Time for Kids magazines, you are allowing them to be exposed to things outside of their neighborhood. The students will be reading interesting informational stories with detailed pictures that will allow them to learn about the world outside of my classroom. The subscription to the Time for Kids magazines also comes with an online component that the students can use to research current and past topics that have been covered in the magazines. This online component gives the students a reliable resource to get answers to their questions, and expand their knowledge of the world around them.
