An easel is an intrigual part of whole group learning in my classroom. We will use this easel daily to read books together in class. The easel stand allows me to read students big books for reading instruction. This will allow students to be able to come to the easel and interact as I am reading these books. It will also allow my students hands on practice with writing in the easel white board as well as with chart paper hung from the easel. We will also use the easel daily in our whole group calendar math time. The storage on the easel will allow my students to easily access our calendar materials for student centered learning. Students will be able to write and solve math problems to show and explain their thinking in math each day. My first graders rely on daily practice and examples to help them apply what they are learning in reading, writing and math. This easel will be used daily in our classroom and will make classroom lessons more interactive and fun! My students and I appreciate any and all donations to make our classroom a better place for learning in first grade!
