What do you do after you finish a good book? You want to tell others about it! Having 5 Kindles in our classroom will enable students to share books, articles, documents, and reading responses with their peers. Using Whispercast for Kindle, a free online tool, I can manage the Kindle devices and will also have the ability to send eBooks, audiobooks, apps, and documents to students. School may be the only place some of my students are able to interact with technology and access a wide range of reading material. Students will build fluency skills by reading with a partner, vocabulary skills by reading and defining unknown words, and comprehension skills by engaging in profound conversations about the text. As a teacher, I strive to provide the guidance and resources that will spark a love of reading in every student. With access to a wide range of excellent literature and the ability to share and discuss with peers, the sky will be the limit for these scholars!
