Distance learning has students on a digital device for hours at a time. These materials will help students engage beyond a digital platform. My students will use the Base-Ten learning blocks to develop their number sense and knowledge of place value. They are in need of the ten frame kit to practice parts of ten, addition, and subtraction skills that they will need for the rest of their lives. In our classroom, my students are used to regularly using letter tiles to build words. This helps them build phonemic awareness, decoding, and spelling skills that are foundational to their later reading abilities. With these materials, they will follow along with live instruction and pre-recorded videos to complete at their own pace.
