Students will use the carpet for center time reading in small groups. We can use it whole class as a meeting place for reading and sharing time. Students will use the carpet area for fluency and reading pairs with leveled readers and flash cards. It will provide a nice and comfortable meeting place for the class library, group work, and silent reading. The area will be used daily. Students can use the area for math workshop, science or social studies groups as well. Fun seating can be used as a reward and behavior incentive. The area can also be used as a cool down spot when dealing with certain behaviors.
