My goal is to help create real life problem solving that fuels my students curiosity, meets their learning and social needs, and truly prepares them for the technology-driven world ahead. Your donation will allow students to use the technology, understand the 'how-to's' of the technology, and apply them to a variety of science concepts. Students will also make digital photos and will learn to record and edit videos to explain and defend their analyzed data from their experiments. Most importantly students will have the ability to do experiments, fail, repeat and learn by using the tablets to record and analyze collected data. Students will increase their science understanding, collaboration, and technology skills. With the tablets students will record experiments such as dropping balls from different heights, as well as different materials used with the balls. Students will calculate the speed, the bounce height and compare the different materials and how their energy changes. With the video students are able to watch it over and over while making observations, challenge each others thoughts and collaborate to draw conclusions. Students will then be able to share their stories in class, online and at school during the classroom morning broadcast.
