These books will be used during our historical fiction book club unit. I am requesting sets of the books in order to have enough for each student to to have their own copy. Historical fiction book clubs will allow students to experience history through a different lens. The book clubs also encourage student to take their reading to the next level by discussing thoughts, ideas, and questions with their peers. Not only will students enhance their reading skills, they will strengthen their communication skills. In a society where screens tend to dominate, having these face to face book clubs provides students the opportunity to talk with each other.
