Our classroom is full of bright sweet students at very different levels of reading, writing and math. Working in small groups is a way to meet the needs of all of my students and differentiate my teaching. It is amazing to see how much students learn when working in small groups!!! Even though they are only six and seven years old, they have deep meaningful conversations and use their critical thinking skills to complete tasks. These groups can be used inevery academic area throughout the year. Utilizing alternative seating such as these colorful stools will be beneficial in keeping the students engaged in discussions and activities. Having a portable white board makes it easy to move between groups and have all the supplies needed for the lesson. The students love using wipable circle spots and they are a great way to save space.
