My students will be using these flexible seating options as a new way of learning in the classroom. Flexible seating will help my students become more engaged in their work. Students learn in many different ways. Having these flexible seating options will allow my students to get out some energy while they are working. This seating also allows my students to choose how they want to learn. I am a firm believer that motivated students have a higher engagement in the classroom. I have seen flexible seating in my colleagues classrooms, I see how every student chooses their own seating option and is focused on their work. Everything I do in my classroom is researched before I try it. Some immediate benefits of flexible seating include burning more calories, improving motivation, improving engagement, and improving overall posture and strength. I have read that movement is linked to higher academic performance.
