My students' favorite part of the day is when we get together for our book study and they can follow along as we read or take turns reading to their classmates! They love literature! These novels, Fish in a Tree, The Sign of the Beaver, and Toliver's Secret, will be part of our daily book study groups where each student will have access to their own copy. Utilizing their own copy of the text will allow them to pull apart the text to make connections, visualize and take them to that place we are reading about. It will also give students who need additional time with the text the opportunity as they will each have their own book instead of our current situation where 5 or 6 of them share a book. The novels we read take them to a different place and allow them to let their imaginations flow.
