Last year our school experienced a tragic flood. Our students came back to school without many of the materials and supplies that they needed. Our students were always eager to learn and maintained a positive attitude. My classroom is a place where students feel safe and loved. They come to school excited about learning and anticipating what each new day will bring. Even though many of my students come from disadvantaged homes, their enthusiasm for leaning is always evident in the classroom. My classroom offers many opportunities for learning. Students experience a variety of work stations offering reading, listening and tactile learning as well as guided and group activities. My students are rewarded throughout the day for their effort and hard work with praise, high fives, cheers, and warm fuzzies. At the end of each week they trade their warm fuzzies in for prizes. Learning is fun!
