Creating comfortable meeting areas in your classroom affects the classroom environment and culture. I'm requesting 2 sets of the interlocking foam tiles and stools so that I can create some spaces where students can gather in a relaxed manner. The foam tiles will be utilized in the same way as a carpet area. The students will be able to stretch out their bodies and minds in a more flexible seating environment. These areas will be utilized for: "Morning Meetings" where they will feel safe to share something about themselves, as well as listen to their peers, and they will have numerous opportunities to complete class activities and participate in discussions or group tasks in literacy and math. Fostering a space where students feel comfortable to share their knowledge and ideas, will deepen their understanding of learning. By creating these spaces where teamwork is fostered, students will be successful socially and academically. Students enjoy having the opportunity of having flexible seating opportunities to foster their learning experience.
