My school has purchased an amazing online reading program. However, our school doesn’t have the resources to provide Chromebooks for my class all the time. My class is a resource class with students who are at least 2 years behind in reading, some are 6 plus years behind. Having Chromebooks for my class will allow us to utilize the program to its fullest and give my students the greatest chance of being successful. I am hoping to get Chromebooks for my classroom so that my students can access the reading program. Along with the reading program, I am teaching my students how to use Chromebooks to create and complete projects and assignments for school. Many of my students have a difficult time writing. Learning how to use Chromebooks will allow them to complete school work in ways other than writing by hand. This gives them many more opportunities to be successful in school.
