The materials and supplies that I am requesting will allow each of my students to take ownership of their learning. When I pull them from class to work on their IEP goals each student will get their own reading journal or phonics journal (depending on their ability level) from the shelf. We will read the fun math books together and use the white boards to practice the math we read about. They will have their own market and eraser. My students will love the beginning sounds game and the phonics flip books. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' ability to practice their reading and math skills in multiple ways such as reading about math, playing a game to determine beginning sounds and drawing models on their white boards. We will use these materials everyday to get each student closer to meeting grade level expectations. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing and ownership of thlearning by providing them with a variety of materials to practice new skills.
