Currently my classroom is a modpodge of furniture that I grabbed as it was placed in the unwanted pile. As I have grown as an educator, I have seen what works and what doesn't. This furniture would allow my students to have a computer/iPad technology center and also an organized classroom library. Wouldn't you rather work in an environment that was organized? Students need consistency and structure. The clover table would be a great resource to give students a place to work on our classroom computers and iPads. It would also give them the space they need for their materials. The table would be used every day during math, reading, writing, and science. The bookshelf would help me in organizing our classroom library by theme and reading level. This would help my students to choose just eight books and also learn responsibility for class supplies. These organized areas would allow for them to thrive in both technology and reading. If this project was funded, it wouldn't only make the difference in the lives of my students this year, but future students for years to come.
