For fourth grade elementary students, reading is like opening a window to another world. My students come to school daily craving books that take them to another place. The 2017 Great Read Aloud will include the book The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. Instead of just reading it aloud to students, I would like to engage them in higher literacy experiential activities. Having a hard copy to use while working will be shared between two classes of students. Your generosity will enable my students of all backgrounds including English language learners, special needs, and low income students experience literacy personally.

About my class
