New classroom tables will allow my students to work together cooperatively, and give daily opportunities for students to talk and listen to each other, which is one of our state standards. Bulky desks make it difficult for this learning to occur successfully. The tables that are currently in my classroom are very old and are rusty and squeaky. As my school has grown by two new grade levels in the past two years, new resources are scarce, and these older tables were in my classroom when I moved in a year ago. New tables will bring a freshness to the classroom, and will help make the environment more inviting for my students. The book boxes will be installed under the tables, which will enable each child to have a place for their school supplies, books, and other materials. This will help maximize time on task, which will help more learning take place. Any help towards this project will be greatly appreciated!
