My students need assistance in motoring their feelings and frustrations. I have made a fort/cave out of classroom dividers and blankets for my students in the past, but I need a stronger structure. My students loved the fort and I felt that it helped my students. The loft will give my students a safe place to cool down, relax, and regulate their emotions would help my student immensely. The loft bed would provide the structural support for the sensory fort. The rope lights would be hung on the bottom of the bed to add calming light and the flat bed sheets would be used around the outside of the loft to make it feel more enclosed.
