With hundreds of books to choose from of all genres, levels, and interests, students will be able to have choices during reading time. Students will have rich, high quality texts that they can connect with. Children will have access to many books that I'm requesting, not only to read in school, but at home as well. These books will jump start their love of reading, or keep it going if it's already there! Daily, during our Reader's Workshop, students will be reading independently or with a partner for at least 45 minutes. Students need books in their hands, every day, in order to progress in their reading skills.
