These materials are going to support them in being independent learners. The materials will be used daily by the students in the classroom to aid their learning. Many of the supplies like the folders (used for writing and close read) and book bags (books they will be able to take home daily) will help students with their literacy needs. This will help them stay organized as they become amazing authors, illustrators and readers! Other materials (dry erase markers, post its and index cards) will be used by the teacher and students to promote literacy and mathematics instruction in small groups.
