My students are working on social and emotional growth. This document camera will allow my students to share their work with their classmates. Sharing may sound like a trivial skill; however, many students need to be explicitly taught how to share. It requires speaking and listening skills. With this document camera, students will be able to project their writing, onto the SMART board. Their classmates will be able to view their writing and give constructive feedback to help everyone grow as writers. Also, during read alouds, I will be able to project the illustrations so all students can clearly see. This will eliminate the "I can't see the pictures!" or "Johnny is in my way!" Through this purchase of a document camera my students will be introduced to new technology and learn how to better interact with technology and each other. By donating to this project you will not only help improve student engagement, but help foster their social and emotional development.
