I teach English as a Second Language to newcomers in Boston Public Schools. It has been my passion to improve my students' language skills through the medium of technology. I've designed my English course around four areas of digital skills: Office Skills such as word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, emails and video conferencing; Creative Skills like photography, photo editing, film and music production; Research Skills like online fact-finding, using reliable sources; and Computing Skills such as general computer science, app design, and building websites. All of my students are underrepesented from low income families and it is my mission to make sure they have access to technology.
