Every day I read books to my kindergarten class and I would like to incorporate more character education books to my read aloud library. I have used character education books in the past to teach lessons about tattling, and following directions even when your friends don't. I have seen the impact character education books have made in my classroom culture as they are referenced to often when situations occur in the classroom. My students are 5 years old and still trying to make sense of their world and all of their emotions. Reading the class books about these situations and the correct ways to handle them when they happen will not only help them in the classroom, but they are lessons they will carry with them for life
