Our students will be creating prototypes of specific items. The goal of our first design is to create prototypes of tiny houses that we will eventually share with local builders to create affordable houses for low-income families. Our goal is to create designs that will impact the community in which we live, work, and thrive. We want our students to become integral members of the community and problem solvers. We will use the 3-D printer to design the tiny house and the furniture. The students will use math, science, and writing skills with these projects. They will be finding area, perimeter, and volume using multiplication skills. They will also be writing a proposal to local builders to make their prototypes a reality!
