I am a Title 1 teacher and RTI coordinator for a small rural school in Montana. I collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure that the students we serve are growing academically, socially, and emotionally. I work hard to deliver effective instruction and use data to drive the decisions I make regarding instruction in my classroom with at-risk students. If you were to see me teaching in my classroom or around the school, you would see whole brain teaching, cooperative learning, and instruction that is challenging and rigorous. I use humor, intensity, and my positive outlook on life to motivate students to work hard and try their best each and every day. The students that I work with are considered at-risk and need instruction provided in a different manner to ensure mastery. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make concepts accessible to students so they are able to achieve and grow!
