I am a school counselor who shares an office with my co-counselor. We want to work on pulling groups of students for social, emotional and academic skills lessons, but due to our tight quarters, we do not have the space to seat students in a traditional way. I have just enough room for about 5 bean bag chairs, and would love for them to have lap desks so they can still do the work associated with our lessons. Additionally, we often have students come to us who are in the middle of a crisis. By giving them a comfortable spot to sit when they are in this state, it will help calm their emotions and provide a supportive environment for their social and emotional needs.
