We need two class sets of books title, “Esperanza Rising ” and “Investigating the Scientific Method with Max Axiom, Super Scientist”. Esperanza Rising will teach my students about tolerance of different cultures and human rights. In my classroom and school community, I feel that character education is just as important as content knowledge in reading or math. Having these novels will impact my classroom this school year. I will teach novel studies using these class set of books with my students using the novels. I want to share these stories with my students to teach them empathy, acceptance, and diversity. These books will provide an opportunity for all of my students to interact with novels that they are not familiar with or exposed too, and we will continue to build on our character education.
