Our Humanities classroom needs flexible seating options. Our old 1960s furniture is bulky and awkward; it keeps us from being comfy and it makes it hard to connect and collaborate. Classroom furniture may not seem like a big deal, but it is! Think of your favorite coffee shop, that gathering place where you meet up with friends, co-workers, and teammates to plan, innovate, brainstorm, design, and create. No doubt there are traditional seating options, but there are also comfy couches and armchairs and high tables for those who like to stand. That is the feeling I hope to create in our classroom, and with your donation, we can make it happen! Rocker chairs and cushions will give students choice about where to sit and it will allow us to open up much-needed classroom space.
